Job Description

Ww are working closely with one of the leading engineering contractor organisations within the oil & gas industry. They are looking for a Senior HSSEQ Advisor to develop their team.

This Aberdeen-based role is as follows:
Purpose: To support the development of a project-wide culture whereby contributors will execute the project with no harm to people or the environment.

Responsibilities:
Leadership:

To provide leadership by example in all aspects of SHE

Health and Safety:
Support the project compliance with legislation, policies, guidance and best practice

Contribute to building a culture of personal accountability where safe behaviours are re-inforced, and at-risk behaviours are challenged

Undertake offshore visits as required

People and Culture:
Communicate with and support project and third party personnel in support of the achievement of health and safety objectives

Customer Satisfaction:
Work closely with customer SHE personnel to achieve a high level of SHE customer satisfaction

Project Execution:
Assist, as directed, with the implementation of all aspects of the SHE Plan

Interface with subcontractors to ensure that SSHEQ standards are acceptable and correctly interfaced

Qualifications/Training
Essential:

Academic:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or
Environment Degree and NEBOSH certifcate

Professional:
Member of appropriate professional institution


Experience

Essential:
Experienced in safety, security, health, and environment delivery in the offshore oil and gas industry; knowledge of legislation and industry and practices; experience of implementing an audit programme; experience of behavioural safety techniques and programmes; experienced in health monitoring programmes; experienced in workforce communication


Candidates must be willing to work in the Aberdeen area and be an EU resident or in possession of a valid EU/UK work visa.
