Introduction:
World Leader in Design and Manufacturing within the Oil & Gas Industry are looking for a Shipping Co-ordinator for their busy Aberdeen-based facility.
Job Specification:
POSITION: SHIPPING COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO: SHIPPING SUPERVISOR
A vacancy has arisen for a Shipping Coordinator based at their facility in Aberdeen.
The main duties of this role include:
- Receipt of Purchase Orders and Transfer Orders.
- Carrying out pack list confirmation and creating delivery tickets and commercial invoices.
- Liaising with freight companies.
- Creating courier airway bills.
- Liaising with Inside Sales Department and Warehouse personnel for special order requirements and shipping information.
- Creating manual delivery tickets and commercial invoices for non stock shipments.
- Contacting Customers to provide information on shipping details and related issues.
- Carrying out general administration duties as required.
Applicants must have a strong Customs and Excise background. They will be an organised and effective communicator with the ability to work well within a team. They must be experienced in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Glovia for the processing of material movements would be advantageous but training can be given. Good keyboard skills are essential.
